| DDS.LSP is an excellent
augment to AutoCAD's Chporp command. DDS will allow you to better define your
selection set in the change property command by its ability to be launched transparently
with the change property command. Imagine you are editing a large topographical
relief where each contour had its own layer name and color. Or a 10 story structural
frame that has many of its components as blocks or perhaps a detail sheet that has many
different linetypes. DDS will allow you to grab whole layers or single line types,
blocks or colors including any combination of each on the fly. Since this lisp
routine works transparent, you can also use it with any AutoCAD command that request an
entity selection set. DDS is easy to install and easy to run. Help is not available but I do not think you will need it. The program is self explanatory once you realize that is needs core AutoCAD functions to run as the main command and that DDS is designed to be an aid that enhances a selection set. This version of DDS is a 30 day trial program that will only work with polylines, arcs, circles, lines, text and blocks.
