2005
Year in Review
PAUG had some great presenters in 2005. Lets recap on a memorable year for PAUG.
Starting out the year PAUG invited Bob
Withers to discuss security. Bob gave our members a good look at some safety
issues that are commonly overlooked when using your computer in various
environments. We also had Jarod Shultz from
CAD-1 come out and gave us a great look at the
new Sheet Set Manager in AutoCAD 2005.
In March Mr. Joseph Floss presented
Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
Who could forget when Heidi Hewett came to discuss all the new great features of
AutoCAD 2006. She went over many of the new features including , Dynamic Blocks, the new CUI, and upgrades to Hatching.
Who better than Autodesk employees Heidi Hewett and Nate Bartley to answer your questions about the newest
release.
Also from Autodesk we had Steve
Shapiro drop by with Autodesk® Buzzsaw®, a very
powerful tool to help keep your projects on schedule and within budget.
We thank Warren Geissler
from Cad-1 for coming out and giving a great demo on Autodesk® Civil
3D®. It was awesome. I think it showed off some ways to really be productive and
allow some serious time savings. True parametrics, -
Cheers!
Comm-Tech's
Bob Potter & Colleen Burke presented some of the features of Autodesk®
MapGuide®. Another remarkable product!
Stewart Jordison,
also an instructor at Comm-Tech gave
an incredible demonstration of Autodesk REVIT.
We also demoed some great products including the newest version of
DotSoft's ToolPac 9.0
This year we continued to give out our CD of tips and tools and software from
Autodesk and DotSoft. With the help of our great
members and sponsors we will have an even better year in 2006.
Open Officers Positions:
We are looking to fill some officer positions still. If you would like to
volunteer for the Secretary/Treasurer or the Newsletter Editor let us know. There
are a few other things officers are sometimes asked to help out with;
- Like attending monthly or bi-monthly officers meetings to get things
arranged for upcoming meetings.
- Sometimes picking up the projector and/or returning it to CEAVCO Audio
Visual 6240 W. 54th Ave.
Not ALL fun and games but very satisfying. Please consider the opportunity.
Please contact us at mail@paug.org.
Note: Officers Dues are waived during the period office is held.
