What is LISP

• Stands for LISt Processor

  • Although Lost In Silly Parenthesis is an acceptable alternative

• LISP is a full programming language, originally developed at MIT in 1956

  • Not a ‘macro’ or a ‘scripting’ language, but a real programming language.

• AutoLISP incorporates most, but not all of true LISP, and adds some additional functions to work with AutoCAD

• Interpreted Language
